We are so fortunate to have a pool of talented and excited singers joining WE! Many of our valued members are students who head off to college during the year, so signing on new members was a given. We are honored to be welcoming new members to all sections:
Rebecca Goodwin moved to Seattle from Austin, Texas about a year ago. She is a software engineer, and has degrees in both music composition and computer science from the University of Texas. Rebecca sang for several years in the choir at St David's Episcopal in Austin. Rebecca also enjoys hiking in her free time. She will be joining the second sopranos!
Taylor Iverson is in her third year as the Director of Choirs at Bothell High School. Taylor grew up in Vancouver, WA, and after graduating high school attended Western Washington University where she earned her Music Education degree. Outside of teaching, Taylor sings with choral ensembles around the Seattle area. She currently sings with Choral Arts Northwest and recently sang with Solaris, a contemporary music ensemble out of the University of Washington. Taylor is excited to be singing with Wellspring this summer and will be joining the second altos!
Theo Olson is from Spokane, WA and currently lives in Covington. He is a plastic eyelid/brow surgery coordinator in Renton. In his spare time, he sings around the greater Seattle area with 20/20 A cappella. Theo loves running, biking, hiking, puzzles, and reality TV. Theo joins the first tenors!
Kisstine Watts is a mother of two girls, both of whom love to sing. Opening a world of music to them helped guide her back in. “Performing in an ensemble and serving music makes me feel whole. I love that I get to share that with them as I step back into the magic of performing music”. Kisstine took 1st place at Washington State's solo and ensemble regionals as a Mezzo Soprano in 2005, however, she’s been an alto since the 5th grade. Kisstine took a detour from music to get married and start a family, and now she is excited to be back! Kisstine joins the second altos!
Adam Clobes joins the baritones with experience in the Edmonds school district music programs. Having sung everything from tenor to bass, it is wonderful to have such a versatile voice! Welcome!
Aly Henniger, middle school director in the Northshore school district, is a Central Washington University alum. Joining the second sopranos, her delightful attitude and focus help us be at our best!
Mary Wise joins the first alto section with a background similar to many of our members, deep roots in Seattle Childrens Chorus! Well versed in non-profits and rehearsal process, we are lucky to have such a talented musician!
Christian Stranne has returned from California with a background in both choral music and contemporary a capella. He joins the bass-baritones in locking the essential low fifths!
Welcome to all the new members!
